After 8 LONG years at UCLA, I was ecstatic to start practicing dentistry in my hometown of San Diego, CA. . . Armed with a powerful license to drill, I began my journey to make people healthy & restore patient’s smiles one tooth at a time. . .

But it didn’t take long before my excitement began to fade. . . My dream of opening a dental office & practicing under my own terms was seemingly impossible due to competitive nature of the dental market & the crushing loans that was gifted to us immediately upon graduation.

The 2020 dental landscape now appears to be filled with corporate offices & DSOs with a seemingly endless marketing budget . . . How can I open a dental office under these circumstances?

That’s when it clicked. . . Just as I have come so far in life with the help of my peers, I would have to do just the same if I wanted to start my own practice. . . & this is when I founded the Dental Start Up Facebook Group, a group dedicated to those interested in practice ownership where knowledge can pass seamlessly amongst those that want to succeed in their careers. . .

But why stop there . . .

I’ve always had a passion for videography/photography since when I could remember. . . With these newfound skills, I hope to use video as a medium to share my own journey to practice ownership . . . How to choose a practice location, whether to lease or to buy, how to get a loan for a dental practice . . . I hope my own journey will help spark others journey into ownership . . . I believe that business/marketing knowledge can be the most powerful to a young entrepreneur who aspires to run their own business. I hope you all grow from the education delivered on this platform
